     The Hawaiian Life for me is not only an association with a place on the map, but more importantly a state of mind. I would like to encapsulate my thoughts of what I feel the Hawaiian Life is. It will most certainly be up for debate, but I will let you instigate the conversation.

I ran across Tony and ifan a while back when I wanted to create a fanpage for Hawaiian Life. I quickly scanned through a couple of companies that provided the service I was looking for, but ifan caught my eye. Not know a whole lot about creating a fanpage or even wanting to spend the time learning. I decided to get in contact with ifan. My past experiences have leaded me to be rather cautious about getting too excited with the prospect of working with someone else on a project. I always have the tendency to think the person I’m hiring is going to be my panacea…

An easy way to get to our FaceBook fan page now is to simply remember HawaiianLifeFanPage come join us there too. The more people we can gather in the true spirit of Hawaii the more our lives will come alive and who knows where that will take us....

I'm excited just finishing up some of the details for My new site www.mike-dolan.com this is where I'll be putting the books I have published and some of my other writing projects. I've been working hard to get a lot of projects done lately. If you know anything about me I've usually got ten projects going at any give time. I can now mark off my first book published from my list!! This is the main reason for the new site. My first book, "A Pecunious Life" "How to Have a Life Abounding in True Wealth!" I have another book on the way to the publishers as I write this. If this is your first time here..., Mahalo...                                  Mike

The wheel of life is filled with the spokes that represent all life, the animals, the plants, the sky, the water, the soil, the air, and the wind. As each one is destroyed the wheel starts to wobble until something replaces that spoke. If that spoke can’t be replaced the wheel continues to wobble and life becomes out of balance. The more spokes that are destroyed the worse the wheel wobbles until one day it self-destructs and all the spokes are gone. We are a spoke in the wheel of life just as everything else is. We are destroying other spokes for the sake of greed. If we don’t stop we will destroy life as we know it.  The wheel can be repaired but only when we become conscious and aware of our place in this life. I hope we have enough time left… I hope more people become aware... Aloha...

Slowly getting the site worked into something more useable and fun for those that share a Love for the Hawaiian Islands and have joined in on the site. I would like to hear you imput, what you like, what you don't and what you might like to see on the site. I know I have a list of changes I'm working toward, but I would like to hear from those that visit the site.

Was Introduced to Keali'i Reichel's music by a friend. If you have ever been interested in Hawaiian music you should listen to Keali'i, his music is beautiful and inspirational. Below is a video of his song "Kawaipunahele" Enjoy. Also There is a link to his site (his name below) so you can experience more of what he has to offer. I would encourage everyone to explore into the world of a wonderful Hawaiian singer...

     Thanksgiving always reminds me to remember all the things I am thankful for and to count all my blessings. Even in paradise, we stop to take time to count our blessings. So here is my short list of things I am thankful for.

     I am thankful for our men and women in the service so I can enjoy my freedom every day.

     I am thankful for the cooling ocean breeze on my face on a hot, sunny day.

     I am thankful for the warm sun that shines almost every day here.

     I am thankful I don’t have to shovel snow to go to work in the morning.

     There is nothing like an exotic trip to the Hawaiian Islands, from the world class shopping along Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki, to all the adventures you can stand, from diving, to whale watching, to paddle surfing it’s all available. In the Hawaiian Islands you can find what you are looking for. For me it is a journey, a journey into the Hawaiian life and the great culture that abounds if you are willing to get off the beaten path and understand the details that are presented to you.

It's the fourth of July 2009 two hundred and thirty three years since we marked the beginning of our independence. This should be a time of celebration and this should be a time for reflection of what we have done as a whole to get to this point in our short history as a country. During this weekend celebration we should understand the true meaning of what this day stands for and the people that started a movement that formed a nation, based on a solid understanding of what it meant to be free.

     So, things are starting to take shape here at Hawaiianlife.com. I would like to invite any and all who would like to join our site to go for it and we'll get you setup. In the coming days there will start to be instructions on the different ways and means to get invloved here.
