♥ Aloha and Good Morning everyone in the Hawaiian Life community... How are you all doing this week? Here we are on the eve of December. It is the holiday season once more. Are you looking to give a gift that will warm your heart with as much or more meaning than any gift you have given before? Why not volunteer your time at a local food pantry, or donate to one or charity of your choice... This year my family will do our part to help out feeding our hungry kids and their families... With a little help from Twitter we can spread the word with a hashtag! Thank You Dr. Oz...

                                                      ♥ #DrOzHunger ♥

The power of a hashtag... Do you ever tweet on Twitter? I do and find that Twitter is a great tool for social media. Whether you want to promote a business or just want to keep in touch with a few friends, hashtags are great for sooo many things. It is a great way to communicate with friends and followers and even people that don't follow you but are interested in the same topic... What IF it was for a charity? There are sooo many of them and all to a great cause... A hashtag can change a life... or maybe it can change a LOT of lives...

I was watching an episode of The Dr. Oz Show yesterday afternoon & as I was listening to the story, tears started streaming down my cheek because the topic was on families going hungry and their children going hungry OR children going home on a Friday afternoon and MANY of them wouldn't eat until they went back to school on Monday morning! $5 Provides 50 meals for hungry children. Imagine that? Regardless where you live, this is a problem of enormous proportions...all over the world... The sad, sad reality of this story was not going on in a poor country on the other side of the world. It is happening in our own backyards all over the United States...

I just sat there sort of at a loss with words... I know it is nothing new here. Most have struggled and many do so every day and have for years. I know hunger is all around the world but to think that it has gotten to where it is, and as bad as it is getting in America... well it is enough to make one sick to their stomach. More and more families that were once doing well, are finding themselves barely getting by or wondering if they will have enough food for their family until the next check or money comes in...or until they can go to the food pantry again... Why not do something this holiday season that will not only help families and children in need, but put a warm smile in your heart... ♥

The Dr. Oz Show has partnered up with a nonprofit organization called Share Our Strength. They are dedicated to end childhood hunger in America. If we help in this fight, they will connect 1 million meals to hungry children in need... Your gift will help hungry kids all around... and it is tax deductible! You never know who it may be affecting... might just be your neighbor, or might even be you... ӇЄԼƤ ƑƖƓӇƬ ӇƲƝƓЄƦ

Call: THE NATIONAL HUNGER HOTLINE – 1-866-348-6479 Nobody should go hungry. If you tweet,  add Dr. Oz's hashtag to your tweets. ►► #DrOzHunger  ◄◄ Take a minute and send it out. It can change everything...  #DrOzHunger  Food pantries all over the world need help, not just here. Items like bread, crackers, canned chicken or beef, tuna, soups, fruits, vegetables, spaghetti sauce, salad dressings, powdered milk, juices, dried beans, rice, pasta, noodles, cereals, peanut butter and jam or jelly, not to forget salt and pepper, toilet paper, baby formula, baby food and diapers, all of which are main staples that are like gold to a person in need... Let's add a few rainbows of our own... Have a safe and happy week! Be good to one another... life is short...
